How to Get the Horror Story During Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost
Gone for a bit now, the Horror Story is a legendary Auto Rifle that many were hoping would reappear this year during Festival of the Lost. To acquire this auto rifle, all you need to do is log onto the game at any time during the event and knock out a few objectives. First things first, find and talk to Eva Levante with a character that has at least 770 power and go ahead and check off the first few steps of the Festival of the Lost quest line. You won’t be able to jump right into the Haunted Forest this year, so make sure you go ahead and get that done first before grinding. Once you have the Haunted Forest unlocked, you have a chance of getting random rolls of Horror Story, via the newly introduced Cipher Decoder caches. The decoders to unlock these caches are obtained via random world drops and activity completions outside of the Haunted Forest. These decoders are used to crack open caches in the Haunted Forest that when opened, have a chance to contain a random roll of Horror Story. The caches can be found at the end of your run, and you can open as many that are there that you have decoders for.
