The proper name was restored to the Google Map service by early Sunday. The tower actually serves as President-Elect Donald Trump’s home in Manhattan. Well, a majority of people thinks that it was a Google employee who changed the name. However, that remains to be confirmed. According to CNN “CNN affiliate WPIX had reported that a second location, the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Columbus Circle had also been renamed Dump International Hotel & Tower earlier Saturday. By Sunday morning, that reference had also been removed.” The previous year, Google had frozen all the public edits to its Maps due to a large number of cases of vandalism. Some peoples are even claiming that Hackers have renamed Donald Trump’s midtown Manhattan home on Google Maps. However, who was behind all this scene was still to be known. The hack was discovered on Saturday and was widespread on Social media in no-time. Some people have started sharing screenshots with hashtag #DumpTower on Twitter. Here are some of the tweets.
