Killing Armored Enemies in A Plague Tale Requiem Explained
Armored enemies have a clasp that you need to shoot with your rock sling in order to break off their torso armor, and this is the key to taking them out. There are two types of armored enemies: those with a flail will have their clasp on their back, while Armored Enemies with a shield have the clasp on their chest. To distract an armored enemy long enough to shoot the clasp, try tossing some Extinguis at them so that they’re distracted by the smoke cloud. Another distraction technique is to hit them with a tar shot (thrown or shot at them with the Sling) which you can then ignite. Once their torso armor is gone, you can kill them by shooting them with a Crossbow Bolt or lighting them on fire through the same means laid out for killing helmeted enemies above. You can even use a knife, too, given that they’re now vulnerable. Speaking of knives, you can even kill armored enemies while they’re fully armored if you unlock the Aggression skill tied to identifying Armored Enemies’ weak points. This essentially renders armored enemies always vulnerable. That being said, given how scarce knives are in the game, though, we don’t recommend leaning on this method too heavily. That should give you everything you need to know about how to kill armored enemies in A Plague Tale Requiem.
